
Walter's Propane delivery conditions and rates (not propane rates)
The consumer to whom this delivery is made understands and agrees that cylinders and equipment (fittings, tubings, hood, etc.) are the property of Walter's Propane. All cylinders must be serviced at least once a year. Walter's Propane at all times retains the right to enter upon premises at any or all reasonable hours of the day for purposes of inspection or removal of cylinders and equipment without any questions or hindrance on the part of the consumer.
All of our service work is based on a hourly rate of $65.00 per hour during normal business hours. Normal business hours is considered between 7 AM to 6 PM. This rate is doubled on nights, early morning hours and on weekends. A 'service call' to your location under one hour is considered "one hour", therefore it is $65.00, unless it is after hours.
We charge $35.00 to light a pilot light when we deliver gas at the beginning of the winter season. If we go on a trip which does not involve a propane delivery, it is $65.00. If service work is needed because the "pilot light' does not "light", then normal service rates apply.
Propane is sold on a "how many gallons of propane goes through your system per year." Contact our office for your useage and we will be happy to price your propane to the appliances you operate.
Customers termination fee is $75.00 to pick up equipment.
Equipment is subject to a annual rental fee if the equipment is not used or not enough gallons goes through the propane system on a yearly basis. We try to be as accommodating as possible, however with the cost of equipment, insurance and maintence of our equipment, we have to charge a annual rental fee in some situations.
We do not sell propane tanks and related equipment for your home or business, unless it is in a underground tank form. For underground tank and related equipment, please call our office. We will fill customer owned tanks, however, proof of ownership is needed.
Under no circumstances shall any customer tamper with or touch any propane equipment owned by Walter's Propane other than a trained person of Walter's Propane.
If a residential or commercial customer runs out of propane, Walter's Propane will not deliver unless arrangements are made to safely deliver the propane and we make sure the propane system is up and running. Also, a proper leak check must be preformed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Please understand that if a customer balance goes over 90 days old, then it will be subject to a written or phone notice of "shut off" and subject to a reconnection fee. Please remember to keep your balance current within 30 days. Please also note that service work must be paid within a 30 day period, preferred on completion of any job. If service work, permits or any other associated items of this nature are not paid within this time period, Walter's reserves the right to "shut off" gas service off until all said bills are paid, NO EXCEPTIONS. You will be responsible for associated fees with turning gas service on. Walter's will notify either by written letter or a phone call before a shut off. PLEASE remeber to keep your bill current.
ALL work preformed by Walter's Propane will have appropriate permits to do any propane gas work on your property. Permits will be received by your Town before any work begins. You, the owner of property will issue the checks made out to your Town and we will send in our permit application (s) with your check. If we do not receive a check from the property owner, then work will not begin. If it is an emergency job, we can make exceptions to get your job done and the permits mailed afterward. However, if we do this and you fail to pay the permit fees, then the Town officials will make us shut off your service for safety and for proper inspections. You will be responsible for Walter's Propane service fees to turn gas service on and any other related fees. Please remember if it is an emergency job, we will go out of our way to get your job done, have the same respect to make sure permit fees are paid.
We will give estimates for our work only if we are to do your job. We will not do a "get an estimate from every company" type of thing. Most of our work is customer referred and we believe that we will do the job at a fair price. We always like to give the customer an idea of what expenses to expect before we do any job, however, we need a comitment first, thank you.
If a child or a teenager answers the door for our technician or delivery person for any service, a parent or responsible person must be present to let us in and take care of any propane related situation. If the parent or responsible person is NOT present if a child opens the door after we ask for such person, we will say "thank you", shut the propane service OFF for safety and leave a note reguarding the situation. Also, our office will make a phone call to the telephone number on file reguarding the situation, whichever is fitting to the situation. Walter's Propane technicians or delivery person will not discuss any propane situation to anyone under 18 years of age WITHOUT PRIOR acknowledgement of a parent or responsible person of the home. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please remember that propane is a serious safety issue and should only be acknowledged by a person or persons that fully understands the propane situation. Also, remember, never to let a child or teenager open the door for anyone without a person or responsible person present, for everyones safety.
